Grande-Rivière-du-Nord (Creole: Grann Rivyè dinò) is a municipality in the Grande-Rivière-du-Nord Arrondissement, in the Nord Department of Haiti. Jean-Jacques Dessalines was born there in 1758 on the Cormiers plantation.[1]
