Grace McCleen

Grace McCleen (born 1981) is a Welsh author whose first book, The Land of Decoration, was published in 2012 by Chatto & Windus.[1] McCleen was selected by The Sunday Times as one of the four most promising authors to watch in 2012.[2] The Land of Decoration won the Desmond Elliott Prize in 2012[3] and the Betty Trask Award in 2013.[4] Her second novel, The Professor of Poetry, was published in 2013.[5]
McCleen was born in Wales in 1981. She was raised in a Christian fundamentalist household where she was discouraged from mixing with those outside the religion.[2]
