Gpg4win is a email and file encryption package for most versions of Microsoft Windows, which uses GnuPG public-key cryptography for data encryption and digital signatures.

The original creation of Gpg4win was supported by Germany's Federal Office for Information Security,[3][4] but Gpg4win itself and all included tools are free and open source software and it is typically the non-poprietary option recommended[5][6] to Windows users.
