Gouran

Gouran is an ethnic group that inhabits northern Chad and some parts of Libya and Niger. They are divided into several subgroups, including Tida toubou, Anakaza, Mourdia, bideyat, Daza, Karra (kereda) and Kounouma. They cover the northern regions of Bourkou, Ennedi and Tibesti and Bahr el Gazel in the south. They arev mostly known by their agricultural activity. Most of the population are nomadic. They speak Dazaga, The population is almost 1,000,000.
