Goran Gančev (Macedonian: Горан Ганчев) (born 4 August 1983) is a Macedonian footballer who currently plays as a defender for Persebaya 1927 in the Indonesian Premier League.[1][2]

Career

Gancev began his career as a youth player for Vardar, team from his home town of Negotino. He played for all youth selection and made his debut for the senior team when he was 16 years old, which played successfully in the 2nd Macedonian division. Gancev's talent gained attention in Macedonia, and at age 17 Gancev signed for the Macedonian club Rabotnicki from Skopje.

The first season Gancev Play for Rabotnicki youth team U-18 and after successful playing he moved to senior team. Gancev debut on 18-year-old playing as central defender on away.
After three years spent in Rabotnicki, Gancev chose to change teams and make more playing experience so he chose to play for Tikves Kavadarci for one year. After Tikves Gancev played two years in Skopje for Madjari and Metalurg, in meantime he finished faculty of Economy in European University of Skopje.
Big ambition of Milano Kumanovo make decision for Gancev to sign a 2-year contract and also playing in UEFA Europian League. In Kumanovo he also played six months for Baskimi.
Next destination is one of the famous club in Macedonia, Pelister from Bitola. In Pelister Gancev made one of the most successfully playing games, after he got several offers from abroad. Gancev choose Zeljeznicar from Sarajevo where playing in UEFA Champions League. In Bosnia and Hercegovina stay one year, also play six months for another famous club Velez Mostar, where he was called to help team from relegation.
In summer 2011, he signed a 1-year contract for Croatian team Inter Zapresic, playing there until winter 2012.
Career in Indonesia
Next destination was Indonesia, Gancev signed a contract for PSMS from Medan in Premier League, where he soon became a key player in defence. Media and newspapers called him "Big Macedonian" with excellent acceleration, fighting spirit and stability on the ground. Nice experience in Indonesian football such us playing in full stadiums made Gancev decide to continue his career in the famous Indonesian club Persebaya from Surabaya, where he signed a 1-year contract.
