Gopichand Malineni is a Tollywood film director.

Early life

He is from Boddularivaripalem near Ongole. He was born and studied till 10th class in that village. He completed his graduation in VR College, Nellore.[1]

Personal life

He married Sri Satya on 14 February 2013.[2][3]

Career

He debuted as an assistant in the direction department for the Srihari starrer film Police. He worked for four films with Srihari and later worked with E.V.V. Satyanarayana for two films, with Srinu Vytla for Andarivaadu, Venky, Dhee with A.R. Murugadoss for Stalin, with Srivas for Lakshyam, with Meher Ramesh for Kantri and Billa.[4]

He made his debut as a director with Don Seenu starring Ravi Teja and Shriya Saran on the lead[5] and it was one of the biggest hit film in 2010.[6] In 2012 he directed Bodyguard with Venkatesh and Trisha on the lead.[7] In 2013 he directed a film Balupu starring Ravi Teja , Shruti Hassan and Journey fame Anjali under the production of PVP Cinemas.The film was released on 28 June 2013.[8] Balupu is the second film with Ravi Teja after Don Seenu. The movie received positive reviews from critics.[9] The film was the biggest hit at the Boxoffice.[10]
