In medicine, gonadal vein refers to the blood vessel that carries blood away from the gonad (testis, ovary) toward the heart.
- Females : ovarian vein
- Males : testicular vein
The left gonadal vein drains into the left renal vein, whereas the right drains directly into the inferior vena cava
