Golubie Wężewskie [ɡɔˈlubjɛ vɛ̃ˈʐɛfskʲɛ] (German: Groß Golubien, Gollubien; from 1938-45 Friedberg) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kowale Oleckie, within Olecko County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) west of Kowale Oleckie, 20 km (12 mi) north-west of Olecko, and 126 km (78 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945, the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
