Godfather Buried Alive is the second studio album by rapper Shyne. Shyne who was incarcerated at the time, was in the middle of serving a 10 year jail sentence for a shooting in New York City. It was released August 10, 2004 off Def Jam. The album included 13 tracks, 12 of which were previously recorded vocals, one was recorded over the phone from jail. The album debuted #3 on the Billboard 200 with 158,000 copies sold in its first week.[1] The album was certified gold by the RIAA in December 2004.
