Garhsafat is a census town in Purba Medinipur district in the Indian state of West Bengal.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Bargoda had a population of 5,406. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Garhsafat has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 70%, and female literacy is 59%. In Goasafat, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
