(On the vinyl version, there is a "locked groove" at the end of Side One on the song "Play in the Rain". This allows the closing section of the song to play continually.)

All songs, except '"D.W. Suite," document Buckingham's break up with long-time girlfriend Carol Ann Harris, to whom the album is dedicated.

"D.W. Suite" was written for Dennis Wilson whom died the December before the album was released. Buckingham was always a big Beach Boys fan. Dennis Wilson was engaged to Christine McVie from 1978-1980.
