Gnathodentex aureolineatus, the Striped large-eye bream, is a species of emperor native to the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean. This species inhabits reef environments at depths of from 3 to 30 metres (9.8 to 98.4 ft). This species grows to a length of 30 centimetres (12 in) TL though most do not exceed 20 centimetres (7.9 in) TL. This species is commercially important as a food fish. It is currently the only known member of its genus.[1]
