Glena Avila (born April 23, 1975) is an American mixed martial artist. She currently trains in Portland, Oregon. She has a record of 2 wins and 2 losses.

Avila gained recognition after becoming the first women's champion in the history of the Full Contact Fighting Federation, an amateur mixed martial arts promotion in Portland, Oregon. After building a 6-0 amateur record and winning three titles in three weight divisions, Avila turned professional in June 2011.[1]

Personal life

Avila's life and mixed martial arts career are the subject of the documentary Glena, planned for release in 2014.[2]

Mixed martial arts career

Avila faced Angelica Brotheron in her debut professional match at BlackEye Promotions 4 on June 27, 2011. She won by submission arm bar in the third round.[3] She faced Maria Andaverde at Budo Fights 6: Pretaliation on December 3, 2011.[4] Avila faced Emily Kagan at Dakota FC 13 on October 13, 2012. She lost by split decision.[5] She faced Amber Stautzenberger at Dakota FC 15 on April 20, 2013. She lost by unanimous decision.[6]
