Glanville Peiris

Glanville Peiris, SLOS was a Sri Lankan diplomat, who was the former Director-General External Affairs, former Ceylon's Ambassador to West Germany and Myanmar.[1]

Educated at the prestigious Royal College Colombo and graduated from University of Ceylon. He was one of the first to joined the Ceylon Overseas Service. During his career in the foreign service Peiris has served as in many capacities including that of First Secretary of Ceylon's Embassy in Washington DC.

His brothers Bernard Peiris was the former Cabinet Secretary and S. W. Peiris, General Manager of Government Electrical Undertakings. His son is Prof G. L. Peiris current Sri Lankan Cabinet Minister of External Affairs.
