Giulio Migliaccio (born 23 June 1981) is an Italian football midfielder who currently plays for Atalanta in the Serie A league.
Club career
Migliaccio started his career at Savoia. He debuted as a professional in 1998–99 playing the championship Serie C, playing 8 match. The following year he goes on loan to Puteolana, Serie D club. Despite an excellent season, and is noticed by the leadership of Bari, who bought it to play in the Serie A, for the 2000–01 season. However, never appears in the field. The following year he was transferred to Giugliano in Serie C2.[1] In 2003 he moved to Ternana to play in the Serie B. After 39 matches played, in January 2005 he moved to Atalanta in Serie A 2004–05.[2] Played three seasons with Atalanta, collecting 86 caps and 4 goals. Especially in 2006/07 offers top performance, contributing to the excellent location of his team in the league.
Palermo
He joined Palermo in the summer of 2007, strongly wanted by his former coach Stefano Colantuono.[3] Is purchased for €5M and ownership of Adriano Pereira da Silva. In Palermo, Giulio has become a pivot in the midfield and a popular fan favourite thanks to his commitment with the club and fighting spirit. He was also occasionally lined up as a centre back, first by Davide Ballardini and then, much more regularly, Walter Zenga, Serse Cosmi and Devis Mangia. He was appointed Palermo vice-captain in 2011.
On 28 August 2010 he reached 100 caps on rosanero: 93 in the league, 4 in European Cups and three in the Coppa Italia.
Fiorentina
On 31 August 2012 Migliaccio move on loan to Fiorentina on the last day of the transfer market.
Atalanta
On 11 July 2013 Migliaccio completed a move to Atalanta B.C. from U.S. Città di Palermo. Just three days later, Migliaccio was involved in a bizarre incident in which a tank crushed two cars decorated in the colors of rival teams Brescia and AS Roma.[4]
International career
Between 2000 and 2002, has called 11 times in Italy U-20, collecting 4 appearances.
