"Girlfriend/Boyfriend" is a song by American R&B group Blackstreet. It was released in May 1999 as the second and final single from their third album Finally. Janet Jackson is also featured in the song as well as rappers Eve and Ja Rule. The song was a minor hit in the United States and more successful in other countries. Originally, the song was to be part of the South Park movie (South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut) and was to feature the Spice Girls.
The music video for "Girlfriend/Boyfriend", directed by Joseph Khan is one of the most expensive music videos ever made, with a cost of over $2 million.
