Giovanni Capriglione

Giovanni Capriglione is a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 98 since 2012.[1]

Biography

Capriglione was born March 8, 1973, and lives in Southlake, Texas.[2]

Capriglione studied for a BS in Physics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and then an MBA in Finance at Santa Clara University.[3]

He and his wife Elisa have three children.[3]

Capriglione owns a private equity management company focusing on businesses located in Texas.[3] He has also worked as a Vice President of a private equity firm and prior to that worked for various computer engineering companies.[3]

Political career

Capriglione was selected as the Republican Party candidate in 2012, gaining 55.55% of the vote, against 44.44% achieved by his competitor Vicki Truitt.[4]

In 2012, Capriglione was elected to the Texas House of Representatives, gaining 85.57% of the vote against 14.42% gained by Libertarian Party candidate, Michael Goolsby.[4]

Capriglione sits on two committees: Government Efficiency and Reform and the Committee on International Trade and Intergovernmental Affairs.[3]
