Gino Coutinho (born 5 August 1982) is a Dutch footballer of Antillean descent, who plays as a goalkeeper for Eredivisie club ADO Den Haag.
Club career
Coutinho has played for PSV Eindhoven, NAC Breda, Vitesse and ADO Den Haag in the Dutch Eredivisie.[1] Only at Den Haag in the 2010/2011 season he claimed a regular place in the starting line-up, mainly because of injury to first choice goalkeeper Robert Zwinkels.
PSV Eindhoven
Coutinho played for SV Real Lunet before he was discovered by PSV. In the 2000–01 season Coutinho was four times below the bar of Eindhoven. During the season 2001–02 Coutinho did not play at PSV, so it was decided that he had to be rented.
Personal life
On 4 May 2011, Coutinho was sentenced to 240 hours of community service after being found guilty of owning a major cannabis farm and being involved in forgery and money laundering. Police arrested Coutinho in August 2009 after raiding a warehouse in Ens, a village in the Dutch province of Flevoland, that contained large amount of marijuana.[2] Earlier, in March, his father was given a 2 years prison sentence for growing weed on a large-scale basis.[3]
International career
He capped for Netherlands in 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship in Argentina.[4]
