Gifted Child Quarterly is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes papers in the field of Education. The journal's editors are D. Betsy McCoach and Del Siegle (University of Connecticut). It has been in publication since 1957 and is currently published by SAGE Publications in association with the National Association for Gifted Children.

Scope

Gifted Child Quarterly publishes scholarly literature reviews and quantitative or qualitative research studies on the characteristics of gifted students, program models, curriculum and other areas that may maximize the development and education of gifted students. The journal contains original research and insights about giftedness and talent development in school, the home and society.

Abstracting and indexing

Gifted Child association is abstracted and indexed in, among other databases: SCOPUS, and the Social Sciences Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, its 2010 impact factor is 0.684, ranking it 41 out of 50 journals in the category ‘Psychology, Educational’.[1] and 24 out of 36 journals in the category ‘Education, Special’.
