Gieterveen is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Aa en Hunze, and lies about 19 km east of Assen.
In 2001, the village of Gieterveen had 367 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.12 km², and contained 156 residences.[1] The statistical area "Gieterveen", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 910.[2]
