Gholam Serwar Nasher

Ghulam Sarwar Nashir (1922–1984), an ethnic Pashtun, stepson and nephew of Sher Khan Nashir, was the President of Spinzar Cotton Company in Kunduz, Afghanistan. Hereditary Khan of the Kharoti (Ghilzai), he became head of the Spinzar Cotton Company with factories all over Afghanistan, building houses, clubs and hotels under the Spinzar brand.

Through his efforts, Kunduz become one of the richest provinces of the pre-war country. He founded the Nashir Library and Museum, as he was an avid photographer, art collector and philanthropist.

Nashir was jailed after Prince Mohammed Daoud Khan's coup in 1973 because of a personal feud. In 1979, Nasher went to live in England and Germany and died there in 1984. He was survived by two wives and nine children.
