Ghiroda (German: Giroda; Hungarian: Győröd) is a commune in Timiş County, western Romania.
It is located near Timişoara, to the east. As a result of the development of the city, the commune shows characteristics of being a neighborhood of Timișoara.
The commune is composed of two villages, Ghiroda and Giarmata-Vii (Überland; Kisgyarmatapuszta).
Carpatair has its head office in Ghiroda.[2][3]
