The Gerului River (Romanian pronunciation: [d͡ʒeruˈluj]) is a tributary of the Siret River in Romania. Initially, it was a tributary of the Bârlădel, a secondary branch of the Siret River. After the embankment of the Siret plain, the resectioned course of the Bârladel became the lower reach the Gerului River, collecting most of the left tributaries of the lower reach of the Siret. Some maps incorrectly extend the name of Bârlădel River to the entire course of the Gerului River.
