Gertak Sanggul

Gertak Sanggul is a village in Penang, Malaysia, located southwest coast of Penang island. The main race in this village is Chinese and a small number of Malays. The Chinese names of this village is MeiHu (美湖/means beautiful lake) or WeiHu (尾湖) in Chinese Dialects. This is a fishing village. And, there are also pig farming and farmer in this village. A Chinese primary school located in Gertak Sanggul, SJK (C) Poi Eng (Chinese: 槟城美湖培英小学).
This village can be reached by car (a windy but safe scenic drive from Bayan Lepas), or by Rapid Penang Bus #308. There is a quiet sandy beach with shallow water.
