Gershon Shofman

Gershon Shoffman (Hebrew: גרשון שופמן) (born 1880; died 1972) was an Israeli writer and painter.
Biography
Shoffman was born in Orsha (now in Belarus), in the Russian Empire in 1880. His parents were Zalman Shoffman and Feiga Haya Levin. He emigrated to Mandate Palestine in 1937.
Awards
- In 1946, Shoffman was awarded the Bialik Prize for Literature.[1]
- In 1956, he was awarded the Israel Prize, for literature.[2]
