German Open (badminton)

The German Open is an annual badminton tournament held in Germany since 1955 and organized by German Badminton Association or Deutscher Badminton Verband (DBV). The tournaments were not held in the year 1970, 1979 and 1998.
Known as German Badminton Championships until 1980, the tournament than allowed to known as Open Championships began 1981.[1] The tournament currently sponsored by Yonex. While it does attract professional players, the tournament now become part of BWF Grand Prix Gold event.
