Career
Gerhard Progni (born 6 November 1986 in Bajram Curri, Tropoje) is an Albanian football player. He currently plays for FK Kukësi in the Albanian Superliga. He is an offensive midfielder who is also a member of the Albanian U-21 national squad.Progni started his career in his home town of Bajram Curri Tropoje. His father saw that he had potential to become a football player and decided to move to Tirana for a better career for Progni. His father took him to the local team KF Partizani Tirane Progni showed that he had the skills and the ability to become a professional football player. KF Partizani Tirane accept Progni into the junior team. He stayed with KF Partizani Tirane for several years until he became a free player.
2004-2005
After the end of the 2004-2005 Championship for the U-19 age group, Partizani (U-19) announced that Gerhard Progni was not to be included in the 22 of KF Partizani Tirane first team. According to FIFA Players Rules Gerhard Progni automatically become a free player and after this a proposition came in time from KS Kastrioti Kruje. Progni signed a contract for a year with KS Kastrioti Kruje [June 2005 - 31 May 2006]. Even so young 19 years old Progni showed a brilliant form and become one of the most important players for KS Kastrioti Kruje he scored 8 goals and helped KS Kastrioti Kruje to come up in Albanian Super League, from his brilliant skills and talent KF Partizani Tirane regretted for not including Progni in the 22 of their first team. And in December 2005 they wanted Gerhard Progni to become one of their players again, so it was impossible because the contract that he signed with KS Kastrioti Krujethe rules stated that Progni could not break the contract until he it ended.
2006-2009
He then returned at KF Partizani Tirane in June 2006, signed a 3 years contract with the team (June 2006 - June 2009), the contract was canceled for the correctness from KF Partizani Tirane and U-21 National Team in their squad from Albania and also from outside, also in the interest from AEK (Greece). He then decided to accept the offer that KS Besa Kavaje offered him at the time,he signed the contract for the second period of the championship,(5 January 2008 - 31 May 2008). Time that the contract with KS Besa Kavaje ends on the ( 31 May 2008 ) so Gerhard Progni will then be a free player again. Progni does not know what the future holds for him although he hopes to play outside of Albania this depends on how he progresses with the club he currently plays with. At present time a lot of football teams in Albania are interested in Gerhard Progni to join them but as far as what his decisions will be remains to be seen.

Gerhard Progni is currently playing for (KS Flamurtari Vlorë).

2012 Gerhard Progni firms a contract for 1 year with FK_Kukësi for 250 milion Euro.
