Geovanny Jara

Geovanny Jara Granados (born July 20, 1969 in Puntarenas) is a former Costa Rican soccer player who played most of his career for C.S. Herediano and later with Ramonense, Puntarenas FC and A.D. Belén.

He was part of the national team squad, that played in the 1990 FIFA World Cup held in Italy. The defender collected 11 caps (no goals) for the "Ticos". He made his debut in 1990 against Poland and played his last international on March 27, 2002 against Morocco, averaging only 1 international per year.[1] Jara also represented Costa Rica in the 1997 Copa América, playing against Colombia on June 16, 1997.[2]

Also, he featured in the Costa Rica squad in the 1992 FIFA Futsal World Championship.[3]
