George Markham

The Very Rev George Markham, DD [1] (30 March 1763 - 30 September 1822) [2] was Dean of York [3] from 1802 and Rector of Stokesley [4] until his death.[5]
He was the second son of William Markham, Archbishop of York from 1776 to 1807, and educated at Westminster School.[6] He married Elizabeth Evelyn,[7] daughter of Sir Richard Sutton, of Norwood in 1789:[8] the marriage was to end in divorce in 1803.[9] He was Rector of Tattenhall [10] then Prebendary of Bilton before becoming dean.
His brother was an eminent Naval officer.
