George Langfield is a professional rugby league footballer of the 1940s and '50s, playing at representative level for Yorkshire, and at club level for Castleford, as a Scrum-half/Halfback, i.e. number 7.[1][2]
Playing career
County honours
George Langfield won caps playing Scrum-half/Halfback for Yorkshire while at Castleford in the 5-2 victory over Australia at Leeds' stadium on 24 November 1948, the 0-14 defeat to Cumberland at Workington Town's stadium on 6 April 1949, the 21-8 victory over Cumberland at Hull's stadium on 26 September 1949, and the 13-22 defeat to Lancashire at Warrington's stadium on 5 October 1949.[3]
