George E. Eskridge (born January 1, 1943 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho)[1] is a Republican Idaho State Representative since 2001 representing District 1 in the B seat.[2]

Early life and career

Eskridge graduated from Sandpoint High School, served four years as a sailor in the United States Navy, and then earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Montana.

Elections

  • 2012 Eskridge won the May 15, 2012, Republican primary with 4,368 votes (66.9%) against Pam Stout, facing Democratic nominee Tim Tucker[3] for the general election on November 6, 2012.
  • 2000 With Democratic Jerry Stoicheff appointed earlier in 2000 to the District 1 B seat after the death of her husband, Representative Jim Stoicheff, Eskridge was unopposed for the May 23, 2000, Republican primary, winning with 4,364 votes; Jerry Stoicheff was unopposed for the Democratic primary.[4] Eskridge won the November 7, 2000, general election with 8,153 votes (53.5%) against Stoicheff.[5]
  • 2002 Unopposed for the May 28, 2002, Republican primary, Eskridge won with 3,268 votes,[6] and won the November 5, 2002, general election with 7,019 votes (65.0%) against Sandra Lamson (D).[7]
  • 2004 Unopposed for the May 25, 2004, Republican primary, Eskridge won with 3,756 votes,[8] and was unopposed for the November 2, 2004, general election, winning with 13,233 votes.[9]
  • 2006 Unopposed for the May 23, 2006, Republican primary, Eskridge won with 3,579 votes, [10] and won the November 7, 2006, general election with 8,382 votes (62.76%) against Bob Wynhausen (D).[11]
  • 2008 Unopposed for the May 27, 2008, Republican primary, Eskridge won with 4,242 votes,[12] and won the November 4, 2008, general election with 11,651 votes (64.2%) against Tom Hollingsworth (D).[13]
  • 2010 Unopposed for the May 25, 2010, Republican primary, Eskridge won with 4,627 votes,[14] and was unopposed for the November 2, 2010, general election, winning with 11,191 votes.[15]
