Genas is a commune in the Rhône department in eastern France.
It is located approximately 9 miles (14 km) east-southeast of Lyon.
The town includes the hamlets of Azieu and Vurey, and has a total population of approximately 11,895.
Transportation
The town is served by TCL (Lyon public transport) services, despite being outside the Grand Lyon (Greater Lyon) Urban Community.
