Genç (Kurdish: Darahênî[citation needed]), is a town and district of Bingöl Province in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey. The mayor is Abdurrahim Ariç (AKP).

Geography

The County has an area of 1,646 km². This is the percentage rate of the province and 20.26. City Centre is the nearest town, 20 km away. The district Centre is the height of 1125 metres above sea level.

Within the boundaries of the municipality district and villages are linked 243 hamlet village 62.

Population

The general population of the population in Genç district was 36, 692 in 1997. The population density of the district in 2000 was 22 per person per km2 and 45,994 live in the town itself.
