Gedaliah Finkel

Rabbi Gedaliah Finkel is a lecturer in Yeshivas Mir in Jerusalem, Israel.

Rabbi Finkel, the younger brother of Mirrer Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Nosson Tzvi Finkel, was born and raised in Chicago and as a youngster learned in Skokie yeshiva. There he developed a special relationship with Rabbi Yaakov Perlow.

Rabbi Finkel delivers a daily English Talmudic lecture in a classroom above his older brother's house. In addition to Mir, Rabbi Finkel is also on the faculty of Yeshivas Heichal Aryeh .

In addition to his duties as a lecturer, Rabbi Finkel is the author of "Imrei Gedaliah" ("אמרי גדליה") on various Tractates of the Talmud . Additionally, Rabbi Finkel heads and maintains a Kollel in the Ezrat Torah neighborhood of Jerusalem. He also maintains a Free Loan Fund, helping countless poor families in Jerusalem.

Rabbi Finkel is married to a daughter of Rabbi Naftoli Carlebach making him a brother-in-law to Rabbi Binyomin Carlebach of the Mir Yeshiva, who in turn is also a brother-in-law to his brother Rabbi Nosson Tzvi Finkel.
