Gavin Dykes (born 2 October 1967, Sligo) was a defensive footballer who played for numerous League of Ireland clubs, including Sligo Rovers, Finn Harps and Derry City. In 1994 he captained Sligo to an FAI Cup win.
Dykes made his League of Ireland debut for Sligo against Cork City on the 25th of October 1987.
He also managed Harps and Derry .
Dykes marked a return to management when he took up the post at Castlebar Celtic of the Mayo Super League . He appeared for Castlebar against Shamrock Rovers in the FAI Cup in May 2006.
Dykes was appointed Sligo Rovers Head of Youth Development in April 2011 .
His son Jake currently is signed to Sligo Rovers.
