Gastrophryne, the narrow-mouthed toads, is a genus of microhylid frogs. Its name means ‘belly-toad’, referring to its large belly, from the Ancient Greek gastēr (γαστήρ, ‘belly, stomach’) and phrunē (φρύνη, ‘toad’).[1]
