Gasparilla Film Festival
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Gasparilla International Film Festival (GIFF), one of Tampa Bay's largest independent film festivals, was established in the summer of 2006.
GIFF is owned and operated by the Tampa Film Institute, a full-time 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing film education and supporting filmmakers, as well as community involvement in film in the Tampa Bay area. The Festival maintains an Executive Director and a volunteer staff of over 70.
In addition to the annual film festival, GIFF provides local residents with monthly screenings of the Global Lens series at the Tampa Museum of Art, and other special film and entertainment events year round.
