Garhwal Himalaya

The Garhwal Himalayas are mountain ranges located in the state of Uttarakhand, India. The mountain ranges comprise two regions: Garhwal Kingdom and Kumaun Kingdom.

Geology

This range is also a part of Himalaya Shivalik Hills, the outer most hills of the Himalaya located in Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand.

Demographics

The cities which are included in these ranges are Hilli Haridwar, Kanshipur, Pauri, Srinagar. Some of the beautiful sites of the location are Mussoorie, Nainital, Dehradun. Roorkee is known to be one of the greatest educational city of India as one of the topmost IIT institutes is located here in Roorkee.
