Ganges was a 700 burthen ton merchantman and convict ship that was dispatched in 1797 from England to Australia.
Launched in 1794 in India and owned by Thomas Patrckson. She was employed for the services of the East India Company between 1796 and 1803.[1]
Under the command of Thomas Patrickson, she sailed from Portsmouth, England in early 1797, with 203 male convicts. She arrived at Port Jackson on 2 June 1797. Thirteen convicts died on the voyage. She left Port Jackson in December 1797 bound for China.
