Gamini Kulawansa Lokuge (born 8 May 1948) is a Sri Lankan politician and Government Minister. He was born in Piliyandala in a middle-class family. Lokuge started his primary education at Piliyandala and finished his higher education at Ananda Sastralaya, Kotte.
He entered politics in 1960 through the United National Party (UNP). Lokuge first contested in national elections at the 1983 polls for the Kesbewa electorate. He won with a clear majority. Minister Lokuge has won every national election to the present day.
His record of service includes the post of Minister of Tourism in the UNP governments of 1989 and 2002. In 2006 Lokuge joined the government under President Mahinda Rajapakse.
In January 2007 Lokuge was appointed to the Ministry of Sports and Public Recreation, he was re-elected at the 2010 polls.
