GamingXP is an Austria multi-format games magazine, which is published by GamingXP-Verlag in Vienna. The name refers to both the GamingXP Internet portal and the print magazine GamingXP, which was first released in April 2008 (and since then monthly).

Both the print magazine and the website are available free of charge and available to readers. The print magazine is distributed in an edition of 60,000 copies (as of December 2008) as a magazine insert in Austria and Germany, and it has reached over 100,000 readers. The website has over one million page views, as of September 2008.[2]

Both the c. 48-page magazine and website dedicate to the presentation and evaluation of new release games for PC and consoles. The website also offers an extensive news section and an interactive user community.

History

The site formed in January 2000 by publisher Peter Konhäusner. This was under the name "DAY-net -. The Austrian Gaming Experience", which was renamed to GamingXP in 2002.
