2007 diploma controversy

In response to many families cheering too loudly and slowing the graduation ceremony diplomas will be withheld of students whose families cheer.[1] Community Unit School District#205 relented on June 7 and gave the students their diplomas.[2] Four of the affected students started legal proceedings against the district, claiming that they were unfairly targeted by the policy.[2]
