Gairkata is a census town in Jalpaiguri district in the state of West Bengal, India. At times, it is also spelled as Goyerkata.

Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[2] Gairkata had a population of 8713. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Gairkata has an average literacy rate of 66%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 59%. In Gairkata, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
