Gabtali (Bengali: গাবতলী) is an Upazila (subdistrict) of Bogra District in the Division of Rajshahi, Bangladesh.
Geography
Gabtali is located at 24°52′30″N 89°27′00″E / 24.8750°N 89.4500°E. It has 52782 units of house hold and a total area of 239.6 km² (approximately). It is famous upazila in Bangladesh. The people of this Pazila are very peaceful.
Demographics
As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Gabtali has a population of 265926. Males constitute 51.1% of the population, and females 48.9%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 135845. Gabtali has an average literacy rate of 24.8% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]
Administrative
Gabtali has 10 Unions/Wards, 106 Mauzas/Mahallas, and 213 villages.It is famous for the birthplace of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, Bir Uttam.
