Gabriel José da Silva, (born 17 November 1988 in Zurich) is a Swiss film Actor.
Early life
Gabriel was born on 17 November 1988 in Zurich. He grew up bilingual with Swiss German and Portuguese. He lived up to his 8th birthday in Zurich, after his parents moved to Curitiba in Brazil, where he attended the Swiss school in Curitiba 5 years. In 2001 he returned to Switzerland. Gabriel holds both Swiss and Brazilian citizenship.
From 2009 to 2012, he attended acting school in Zurich and then the Center for Development in the theater (ZES). In the meantime he occupied between 2009 and 2013 several courses in "Method Acting" and "Camera Acting", partly also on ZES Acting School.
Career
In 2013 he played in the flashback scene of the young Paul Odermatt in the SRF-crime series The Undertaker with Mike Mueller. The role of older Odermatt played Christoph Gaugler.
He played a minor role in the independent film The Beginning of Josephine, a Swiss-American production.
He played some major and minor roles in several short films, was in movies and TV commercials, such as Credit Suisse, alongside singer Anna Rossinelli, culture and youth development Solothurn and for KAGfreiland of the Migros to see. Furthermore, he went on to smaller theaters, such as 2011 or 2012 The deathmaker and Ragu at drama school. Already in 2003 he was seen as a hotel manager in The Last Dinner "English Theater Zurich".
Since 2013 he has worked as a speaker for animated cartoon "Nutty".
Da Silva lives in Zurich.
