Pro career

Gabriel Rosado began his career, going the distance with Fernando Guerrero and winning a decision against contender Kassim Ouma.

On August 7, 2009 Gabriel suffered a loss in the second round to Mexican Alfredo Angulo by knock out. The fight was the main event of ESPN's Friday Night Fights.[3] He had previously lost to undefeated boxer Fernando Guerrero.[4]

He won the interim NABA and the USA Pennsylvania State Light Middleweight titles in 2011 (against Jamaal Davis and Keenan Collins respectively).

On January 21, 2012, he picked up one of his biggest wins, stopping former WBC Continental Americas and NABF Welterweight Champion Jesus Soto Karass in the 5th round.

He followed up with a larger win by stopping former world title challenger and IBA Intercontinental Light Middleweight Champion Sechew Powell in the 9th round to win his third regional level championship, the WBO Intercontinental Light Middleweight title.

On January 19, 2013, Rosado jumped to middleweight to challenge WBA champion Gennady Golovkin. Golovkin dominated the bout, which was stopped in the 7th round when Rosado's corner threw in the towel.
