Gabi Zange, born Schönbrunn (born June 1, 1961 in Crimmitschau, (now Free State of Saxony) is a former German speed skater. She was in the world elite on the long distances (3000 m and 5000 m). She won three bronze medals in the Olympic Games: At the 1984 Olympics in Sarajevo on the 3000 metres, and at the 1988 Olympics in Calgary both on the 3000 and 5000 metres.[1][2] She won the European Speed Skating Championships for Women in 1984, at the same time she set two World records (on the 5000 m and overall). She set four World Records in total, the last one on the 3000 metres (4.14,76) during a World Cup race in Calgary.[3] She retired as a speed skater after the 1987/88 season.
