The GPT Group is a Real Estate Investment Trust (also known as an Australian Stock Exchange listed stapled entity). The Group has been publicly listed in Australia since April 1971 and is now one of Australia's largest diversified listed property groups.

GPT has a substantial investor base, with over 45,000 investors and is one of the top 40 stocks by market capitalisation with $14.8 billion of assets under management.

The Group focuses on active ownership of Australian real estate in a portfolio that includes retail, office and logistics and business park assets. This focus is complemented by Funds Management and selective development.

The GPT Group was named the world's most sustainable real estate company in the 2012/13 global Dow Jones Sustainability Index.

GPT's largest shareholder is the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation after the sovereign wealth fund assisted to recapitalise it in October 2008.[1]
