GEO English was an English-language television channel in Pakistan owned by the Geo TV network. Until the time of it being scrapped in late October 2008, it was running its test transmission internally in Karachi, having Owais Tohid as its Director News. Its last bulletin running on the 23rd of October, 2008. Several employees have been laid off as a result. The global financial crisis was cited as the reason for the shelving of the Geo English project.The channel has been launched again. GEO Tez replaced this channel in 2013.
