Göran Ehrnrooth

Göran Ehrnrooth (1 April 1905 Helsinki - 9 January 1996 Helsinki) was a bank manager in Union Bank (Pohjoismaiden Yhdyspankki, later after several mergers Nordea. Göran Ehrnrooth worked for the Union Bank since 1933. He launched Mandatum. His successor was Mika Tiivola.[1]

Industry

The family business included the paper and board factory Kaukas and oil business Petko, that was sold later to British Petroleum. Investments e.g. in the paper factory Ahlström Oy, Hyvilla and Tampella.[2]

Family

Göran Ehrnrooth was married with Louise von Julin, doughter of Elsa Lovisa Standertskjöld and Jacob von Julin (1906–1987), the CEO of Kaukas paper factory. Children were Göran Albert Casimir (1931), Clas Göran Jakob (1934), Johan Robert Göran (1939) and Elsa Margaretha Louise (Fromond) (1942).

Children are Casimir Ehrnrooth (1931) UPM-Kymmene CEO, Göran J. Ehrnrooth (1934) Fiskars CEO, Robert Ehrnrooth 1939) EFFOA-Suomen Höyrylaiva CEO (Silja Line) and Elsa Margaretha Louise Fromond (1942).[3]
